Job Description

We're working with a client in Concord who's looking to bring on a Legal Assistant with experience in Family Law. This is a full-time opportunity supporting attorneys with case preparation, document handling, and client communication in a busy legal environment.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Opening and closing case files
  • Performing conflict checks and preparing engagement letters
  • Filing documents accurately and maintaining case organization
  • Scheduling appointments and court dates
  • Organizing discovery materials and preparing exhibit notebooks
  • Drafting general correspondence and formatting legal documents
  • Communicating with clients, potential new clients, and opposing counsel via phone and email
  • Supporting attorneys with trial prep and hearing materials
  • Assisting with other practice areas, including Workers' Compensation

What They're Looking For:

  • 2+ years of legal assistant experience, preferably in Family Law
  • New Hampshire experience required
  • Highly organized with the ability to prepare case files for court hearings
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask and prioritize deadlines
  • Excellent typing and computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and Adobe; ability to adapt to new software programs
  • Professional, friendly attitude with excellent phone, interpersonal, and organizational skills
